Finnish media and live cinema artist, investigator and cultural activist Mia Makela visited us from barcelona to complete her project ‘Remscapes’. While here she also gave a presentation on the history of experimental audio visual, explored further in her online thesis at www.solu.org

Emma Macey, an Australian artist who currently lives in Wales, visited us to experiment with multi speaker environments following on from intensive training sessions with modulate sound artist Bobby Bird earlier this year, exploring field recording, infrasonic and ultra sonic recording methods. The next phase of the project will involve interaction and public intervention... we shall be inviting Emma to give a presentation of her work at a Sonic Culture Salon next year. www.emmamacey.co.uk
