"Technology now allows us to break the barriers which limit the physical placement of sound sources; with a portable DAT recorder and a microphone any sound which your ears can percieve can be used and manipulated as if it was physically present. Sound sources range from a flute through toy percussion through the sound of a journey on the Docklands light railway and a human voice. This album is not about the technology which was used to create it; the tools are a way to create and communicate what is coming out of the speakers.
